Members of the Smith College Club of NYC gathered for the 2026 Annual Meeting to welcome the 2026–2027 Board of Directors, reflect on the past year's accomplishments, and look ahead to another exciting year of programming and community.

🗓️ Saturday, October 3 | All Day | Smith College Museum of Art: Join us for a field trip to the SCMA. Tickets are $90 and include a chartered bus and lunch at Alumnae House, with remarks by Jessica Nicoll, Director; Louise Ines Doyle ’34 Chief Curator; and Emma Chubb, Charlotte Feng Ford ’83 Curator of Contemporary Art and Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs. There will also be time to visit the Museum and your favorite campus spots.

If you would prefer to meet us at Smith, tickets excluding the bus are $40. Several generous alums have provided funds for a limited number of Gold Alums to attend at no cost.

🖼️ If you’re headed to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, check out “Six Gothic Churches” – six engravings by Amy Namowitz Worthen ‘67, on display in the exhibit “Independence and Identity: Selections from the Department of Drawings and Prints” in Gallery 690. The exhibit is on display through October 6, 2026. Details here.


On Loan

Smith College Museum of Art on loan to NYC museums and galleries

🖼️ The Art Students League, 215 West 57th Street, has an exhibit of works by Fairfield Porter, “What Everyone Knows,” running through August 18, 2026. It features two works owned by the SCMA: Oak Tree, 1969, and The Orchard, 1964. Details are available here.
