Admission

Share your love of Smith with a new generation of students. Get involved by interviewing prospective candidates or attending a college fair and answering questions about academics and campus life. Helping with the Admission Committee is a great way to connect with the campus and the Club; all are welcome. Contact us at admissioncommittee@smithclubnyc.com, and please include your name, phone number, email and location preference for interviews (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island).  For more information about this committee, please view the Admission Committee page.

Membership

Helps to promote and expand the membership of the Smith College Club of New York City.  The Committee organizes the annual Membership Party, reviews the membership levels and benefits, and looks to connect Club members, to build a stronger Smith community in New York City.  If you are interested in volunteering on the Membership Committee, please contact Membership@smithclubnyc.com.

Communications and Technology

Are you taken with Twitter? Fond of Facebook? Intrigued by Instagram? Put your social media skills to use for your alma mater. Our Communications Committee handles the Club's promotions - from updating website pages with more news and information, to creating the quarterly newsletter, to posting on our social media channels. If you would like to learn more about what we do, please contact Communications@smithclubnyc.com.

Events

Club events offer opportunities to reunite with old friends and meet new Smithies. The Committee oversees the annual holiday party, faculty lecture, and spring tea, and partners with the College and other Smith groups to host NYC events. The Committee develops event ideas, finds guest speakers, rents venues, coordinates food and beverage needs and day-of set-up and clean-up. If you would like to lend a hand, or if you have an event idea, contact Events@smithclubnyc.com.

Benefit

The Benefit committee organizes the club's cherished annual fundraising event and is our way of giving back to the college. It traditionally features a keynote speaker and proceeds are paid directly to a scholarship endowment fund managed by the college, which continues to grow to meet todays costs of a college education thanks to the generosity of Smith Alumnae who gather at this event to celebrate their connection to the college and each other as alumnae. For further information or if you would like to help with the benefit planning contact benefit@smithclubnyc.comFor more information about this committee, please view the Benefit Committee page.
