Frequently Asked Questions About The Smith College Club of NYC

Are there different levels of membership?

Yes, we have levels based on graduation year. Membership is free for the most recent graduating class and for current Smith students, with membership fees thereafter ranging from $30 to $75. Additional enhanced levels of support are available through our Bass Benefactors, Paradise Patrons and Sophia NYC Society levels, which allow members to bring guests to one or more events.

What do I receive for becoming a member?

Members enjoy free admission to our annual membership party, holiday celebration and annual faculty lecture, as well as receive discounts to events throughout the year. If you attend 2-3 Club events a year, membership pays for itself.  In addition to many networking and social opportunities, we offer some events only to members.

Members also have the benefit of exclusive access to our Member Directory, which provides access to Club members and networking opportunities.

Can I attend Smith Club events if I am not a member?

Yes, you can – but we do hope you’ll consider joining! The majority of our events are open to everyone; when registering, choose the Non-Member rate.
