DIVA Jazz Orchestra

An all-female multigenerational outfit led by drummer, composer, and clinician Sherrie Maricle, DIVA Jazz Orchestra has garnered accolades from all over the world. The 15-piece ensemble “exudes the excitement and force found in the tradition of historic big bands, with an eye towards originality.” Each repertoire selection spotlights both the versatile and uniquely swinging band sound as well as each soloist’s distinct and vibrant personality. The four-night engagement features a high-octane set list delivered by high-level practitioners.

Directions: To reach Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, go to the Shops at Columbus Circle and enter on 58th St., 60th St., or at Columbus Circle. Take the jazz elevators near the 60th St. entrance to the fifth floor, where you will find Rose Theater, The Appel Room, Dizzy’s Club, and the Irene Diamond Education Center.
