Join us for LAMINARIA,* a magical work conceived by two Smithies!
LAMINARIA is an overture to Halloween, a portrait of Folk horror, a subgenre of horror, revealing 3 ghosts who seek light and transformation.

A post-performance talk will be provided by the artists.
Wendy will open the program with a solo, "no words" accompanied by Skip La Plante performing with
recycled materials.
Choreography: Wendy Osserman '64 in collaboration with Lauren Ferguson, Cori Kresge, Emily Vetsch
Music: Composed and performed by Concetta Abbate '09 with the Concetta Ensemble of ten musicians.
* Laminaria is the Latin word for a kelp used medicinally to induce childbirth or abortion.
