Private tour of REAL CLOTHES, REAL LIVES: 200 Years of What Women Wore

Tuesday, May 13, 2025 | 4:00 - 5:00 PM ET

Join Rebecca Shea '99, and the Smith College Club of New York City for a private tour of REAL CLOTHES, REAL LIVES: 200 Years of What Women Wore.

This inaugural exhibition, co-curated by Smith Professor Kiki Smith '71 and Rebecca Shea '99, with New York Historical curators, showcases items from Smith College’s extensive clothing collection.  Due to light sensitivity, a majority of the garments in the exhibition were changed over in mid-January. Explore a whole new rotation of clothes from the Smith College collection!

The collection focuses on the everyday clothing of ordinary women and provides insight into the lives of women, across time and culture.  Due to light sensitivity, a majority of the garments in the exhibition were changed over in mid-January.
