Speak Sing Shout Exhibition

Celebrate a Fellow Smithie Artist — Join Us at BRIC on Dec 18!

Join fellow NYC Smithies for an exhibition visit hosted by Sarah K. Khan ’87. Sarah has kindly invited our community to explore her exhibition Speak Sing Shout: We, Too, Sing America, currently on view at BRIC Arts Media in Brooklyn. We’ll gather for an after-hours tour with Sarah and spend time together experiencing her work.

The exhibition is the third artwork commissioned for “What Can Become of Us?”, a collaboration between the Stanford Institute for Advancing Just Societies and Zócalo Public Square. It envisions new perspectives on migration, America’s changing communities, and how people come together across differences.

This exhibition—Sarah’s most extensive solo exhibition to date—centers around food histories, global movement, and the powerful stories of “unruly” women.

We hope you will join us for this special December event as we conclude our 2025 programming and gather in community before the holidays.
