Please join us on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30 pm at the home of Janice Carlson Oresman, ‘55, Trustee Emerita and Chair of the Visiting Committee of the Smith College Museum of Art, to view her collection of prints and works on paper.  Jan’s collection begins with a flock of 19th century Audubon bird prints and moves into the 20th century with works by such artists as Thomas Hart Benton, Howard Cook, Marsden Hartley, Louis Lozowick and John Marin.  Works by Richard Diebenkorn, Lesley Dill, Jim Dine, David Hockney, Kiki Smith, Wayne Thiebaud and many others round out the old century and make way for prints of this century that are literally hot off the press.

At 7:00 pm Jan will share her history of collecting and invite us to wander through her traditional 1928 apartment where the art is installed “salon style”.  A printed guide to what we’re viewing will be provided and refreshments will be served.
