Upcoming Events from Smith College Club of New York City
Dear Reader,
Last call for tomorrow's event with Professor Michael Gorra, whose book, Portrait of a Novel: Henry James and the Making of An American Masterpiece (2012) was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist and was also nominated for a National Books Critics Circle Award.
Continuing our literary theme this year, on Wednesday, November 6, Elizabeth Bettina '84, author of It Happened in Italy: Untold Stories of How the People of Italy Defied the Horrors of the Holocaust, will discuss how she uncovered fascinating untold stories of how Jews survived in Italy during World War II. She will be accompanied by Holocaust survivors who will share their stories of rescue and resistance.
