Save the Date - May 5 Scholarship Benefit with Pres. Emerita Jill Ker Conway, Tickets On Sale Today

Dear Reader,

Join us for one of the most special events of the year, the Annual Scholarship Benefit on Tuesday, May 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This year's keynote speaker, President Emerita Jill Ker Conway, reflects on the 40th anniversary of her tenure as the first woman president of Smith (1975-1985). Individual tickets go on sale today (Monday, March 23) at 12:00 noon. Proceeds go toward providing critical financial aid to Smith students from the Greater New York area.

Also today, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, we host a talk with producer, director and editor Milena Jovanovitch '73 and author Penny Colman on their new documentary, Pioneering Women War Correspondents. This film explores the lives and work of trailblazing women in journalism like Peggy Hall, Martha Gellhorn, Marguerite Higgins and Dickey Chapelle -- all of whom reported from the front lines.

On Wednesday, March 25, our Craft Meet-Up welcomes those who knit, crochet, quilt or work on other crafts. This informal group starts at 6:30 pm at the home of an alum; please bring a dish to share.

Finally, shake off the winter blues and head to Murray Hill on Saturday, March 28, when we gather Smithies for a Networking Brunch and conversation. We will meet at 1:00 pm at a charming bistro that is co-owned by the son of a Smith alumna. RSVP today, as seating is limited.
