Save the Date - Spring Potluck Tea on April 25, Young Alum Happy Hour Next Week and More

Dear Reader,

The weather is finally starting to improve, which means it's time to get out of the apartment for some great events with the Smith College Club of New York City.

Join us next week on Thursday, April 16, for our Young Alumnae and Young-at-Heart Happy Hour, held at Floyd NY in Brooklyn Heights from 6:30 pm on. Come play indoor bocce!

On Thursday, April 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, learn from the mishaps of some notable women. Editor Jessica Bacal (Mistakes I Made at Work: 25 Influential Women Reflect on What They Got Out of Getting It Wrong) shares stories from leaders such as Cheryl Strayed (author of Wild), Kim Gordon (musician / founding member of Sonic Youth), Anna Holmes (founding editor of Jezebel.com), and Laurel Touby (founder of MediaBistro.com). Bacal serves as director of Smith's Wurtele Center for Work & Life and will also bring some special guests to talk about their personal experiences in the workplace.

On Saturday, April 25, at 3:00 pm, it's time for one of the Club's popular events, honoring a beloved Smith tradition. Our Spring Potluck Tea brings together women spanning many class years. It is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Northampton days while enjoying one of the many things that makes Smith special. The event will be held at the Upper East Side home of an alum; please RSVP for details, including event location, and bring something to share.

Plan ahead for Tuesday, May 5, at 6:30 pm for our Annual Scholarship Benefit with President Emerita Jill Ker Conway.
