Volunteer for a Smith Club Committee - Admissions, Communications, Events & Membership
Dear Reader,
We are always looking for alums who can lend a hand and help one of our Smith Club committees with the wonderful work they do. Here's a quick look at our key groups - and how you can assist:
ADMISSIONS
Share your love of Smith with a new generation of students. Get involved by interviewing prospective candidates or attending a college fair and answering questions about academics and campus life. The Admissions team is a great choice for young alums who have recently graduated, but all are welcome. To help with admissions or with our annual Smith book awards, contact us at Admissionscommittee@smithclubnyc.org. Include your name, telephone, email and location preference for interviews (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island).
COMMUNICATIONS
Are you taken with Twitter? Fond of Facebook? intrigued by Instagram? Put your social media or writing skills to use for your alma mater. Our Communications Committee handles the Club's promotions - from the website, to the newsletter, to keeping members up to date on what's happening via our social channels. EVENTS
Club events offer opportunities to reunite with old friends and meet new Smithies. This past year we planned and hosted educational lectures, author salons, networking brunches, arts happenings, seasonal parties and much more. The work of this Committee includes developing event ideas, finding guest speakers and venues, and planning and coordinating food and beverage needs and event set-up and clean up. MEMBERSHIP
Being a Smith College graduate has its privileges - and so does being a member of the Smith College Club of New York City. Benefits of annual membership include free admission to our Fall Membership Party, Holiday Party, and Annual Faculty Lecture, as well as reduced admission to Club events.
