Last Chance to Register for Creativity & Inspiration with Susan Cohen, New French-Speaking Meet-Up

Dear Reader,

Only a few days remain to sign up for Thursday's talk by author and landscape architect Susan Cohen '62. Susan speaks about how landscape architects from around the world turned their initial creative concepts into works of art, as shown in her new book, The Inspired Landscape: Twenty-One Leading Landscape Architects Explore the Creative Process. Susan will be joined by Signe Nielsen '72, whose Brooklyn waterfront project, Fulton Landing, is featured in the book. The event starts at 6:00 pm with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, followed by a presentation, discussion and book signing. RSVP here for more information.

This weekend carve out some time to meet new friends, eat good food and practice your French - at a local Belgian bakery. Our first
Smith Club French Meet-Up takes place on Saturday, November 21, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at Le Pain Quotidien (861 Lexington Ave. at East 65th Street) and is open to members and non-members who want to learn more about the Club - and practice speaking French in a fun, comfortable setting.

Our
Pecan sales are continuing, so place your order today. Plain, milk chocolate and dark chocolate options are available, and proceeds benefit the Smith Scholarship Fund.

Trustee Emerita Susan Cohen '62 will discuss her new book, The Inspired Landscape
