Next Week: Annual Holiday Party on Tuesday, UWS Neighborhood Meet-Up, 12/16 Salon on Gloria Steinem

Dear Reader,

With Thanksgiving now behind us, let's continue celebrating the spirit of the season. Join us on Tuesday, December 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 pmfor our Annual Holiday Party. Come for delicious food and refreshments, as well as the great company. The event, which is free for members, takes place in Midtown; the address will be provided to registered guests.

We continue the socializing on Saturday, December 12, at our
Upper West Side Meet-Up, a casual opportunity to relax, get a snack and connect with other neighborhood Smithies. We will meet at Nice Matin (201 West 79th St. at Amsterdam Ave.) from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

Gloria Steinem '56, has been an activist, author, leader and inspiration to thousands of women. In her new book, My Life on the Road, she opens up about her adventures as a traveler, a listener and a catalyst for change. On Monday, December 16, Patricia Tidwell '73 PhD, LCSW hosts our next Salon, with Steinem's book as the focal point. The event will be held at the home of an alum in the Noho neighborhood and all are invited (even those who have not read the book). For more details, click
