Celebrating 90 Years of Smith JYA in Paris; April 4 Scholarship Benefit with Ruth Simmons

Dear Reader,

It may be only Tuesday, but it's not too early to start thinking about the weekend. And here's a special treat coming up on Saturday at 1:00 pm: a chance to connect with other Smithies, grab a bite and celebrate the Smith Junior Year Abroad program in Paris - 90 years strong! As an added benefit, we are encouraging those who attend to practice speaking French (if they would like). The event will be held at a bistro in Midtown; we ask you to
register now as space is limited.

Next Monday, March 21, our
Book Group tackles some classics: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell. The group meets at 6:30 pm at the home of an alumna on the Upper West Side.

On Wednesday, March 30, come to our next
Craft Meet-Up. Finish that knitting or crocheting project once and for all, while enjoying the company of other Smithies. We gather at 6:30 pm at a private home; register for the address.

Only a few weeks left to purchase a ticket to our
Annual Scholarship Benefit on Monday, April 4. This is one of the highlights of the year for the Club and we are thrilled to have President Emerita Dr. Ruth J. Simmons (1995-2001) as the keynote speaker. Proceeds benefit the Scholarship Fund, which provides critical financial aid to Smith students from the Greater New York area.
