Top 3 Reasons to Attend the Spring Potluck Tea, Social Media 101 Workshop

Dear Reader,

If you have yet to sign up for our Spring Potluck Tea on Saturday, April 16 (3:00 to 5:00 pm), here are three reasons to do so:

1.       It's a great way to connect with Smithies through a pastime that's particularly Smith.

2.       It's less expensive than going to Bloomingdale's for the afternoon.

3.       It's an excuse to get out of your apartment and celebrate Spring.

RSVP for more information, including the address, and be sure to bring a finger food to share that doesn't require re-heating.

Then on Monday, April 18, it's time for our next Book Group. This week's meeting will focus on The Island at the Center of the World by Russell Shorto. The group meets at the home of an alum on the Upper West Side.

Have you been thinking about tweeting - but don't know how to start? Or are you hearing that LinkedIn is a great way to make business connections - but are nervous about doing it wrong? Get answers to your burning social media questions from Colleen DelVecchio, career expert and Smith's Director for Alumnae Engagement, on Wednesday, April 20, when she hosts a how-to on
Social Media 101. Colleen will share tips and best practices for building your network using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and refreshments will be served.
