Become Brave with Patty Chang Anker on July 27

Dear Reader,

Here's a great way to tackle whatever makes you anxious. Join Patty Chang Anker, author of SOME NERVE: Lessons Learned While Becoming Brave, in this fun, interactive event on Wednesday, July 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Whether it's speaking in public, walking into a room full of strangers or something entirely different, Anker will help participants identify sources of anxiety as a first step in the path toward conquering their fears and becoming courageous. The valuable tips learned in this session can be used both professionally and personally.

This event is sponsored by the Smith College Lazarus Center for Career Development and will be held at UJA - Federation of NY, 130 East 59th Street (between Lexington & Park Avenues).

"With humor, humility and (most of all) self-compassion, Anker tells a compelling story of everyday courage - one that is sure to touch and help countless other people like her, like me, like all of us who have made worry into an art form. She proves that it's not too late, that we can truly change ourselves and enlarge our worlds as a result." - Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love
