Pet-a-Pet, Museum Trunk Show, and Pecans!

Dear Reader,

Maya Lin has unveiled the library plans and we unveil ours to continue and expand Smith traditions in New York City.

We bring a beloved Smith tradition to New York City this Saturday, October 22, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.  If you're feeling stressed, or just need to cuddle with a furry pal, come to the first Smith College Club Pet-a-Pet Potluck event.  Bring your people-friendly pets and some food/beverages/animal treats to share.  To learn more about this Smith tradition, click here.   Click here to RSVP

On November 16, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, you can start your holiday shopping at the Fifth Annual SCMA Trunk Show, Unexpected Treasures, which features jewelry, handbags, textiles, toys, and featuring Heather Hall, fine felt textile designer.  Please rsvp by November 9 by email to SCMAtrunkshow@smith.edu.

A longstanding Smith fundraising tradition is selling pecans. Dorothy Guth '50 initiated pecan sales more than 25 years ago, noting their popularity at Smith Clubs around the country.  And she got the attention of an important voice - Craig Claibourne, who was then food editor at The New York Times.  He wrote an article about the effort called "9 Tons of Pecans for a Cause." You can purchase pecans by clicking here.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Please note: Registration fees for events and activities are only transferable to another person to attend the event for which the registration fee has been paid. Registration fees are not transferable to another event or refundable.
