A pioneer in the field of countering violent extremism, Farah will speak about the global trends affecting Muslim youth; why and how extremist ideology gains traction; and how to defeat it.

Alumnae are invited to attend the Foreign Policy Association's 80th Anniversary Off-the-Record Lecture. The address will be delivered by Jane Harman '66, director, president and CEO of the Wilson Center and former nine-term US representative from California.

Annual Faculty Lecture with Daniel Horowitz
The Club is honored to welcome Daniel Horotwitz, Mary Huggins Gamble Foundation Chair and Professor of American Studies Emeritus, as its 2018 faculty lecturer. Horowitz's new book, Happier? The History of a Cultural Movement That Aspired to Transform America, provides the first history of the origins, development, and impact of the way Americans--and now many around the world--shifted from mental illness to well-being as they pondered the human condition.
