2018 Spring Tea, Annual Faculty Lecture, and More!

Thanks to everyone who made this year's Scholarship Benefit, which raised over $40,000, such a success! Farah Pandith '90 delivered a captivating keynote on her work fighting extremism. The proceeds will go to support scholarships for NYC area Smith students.

2018 Faculty Lecture with Daniel Horowitz
The Club is honored to welcome Daniel Horowitz, Mary Huggins Gamble Foundation Chair and Professor of American Studies Emeritus, as its 2018 faculty lecturer. Horowitz's new book, Happier? The History of a Cultural Movement That Aspired to Transform America, provides the first history of the origins, development, and impact of the way Americans--and now many around the world--shifted from mental illness to well-being as they pondered the human condition.

The Smith Club is requesting volunteers to take part in this valuable mentoring program for Smith students. Alumnae will be matched with current Smithies interning or working in the NYC area for the summer. Mentors must meet in person with their Smith students at least twice this summer, and more if their schedules permit. A kick-off event will take place on Thursday, June 28, 2018, with additional activities to be announced.
