New York City Opera presents the world premiere of Stonewall by Iain Bell and Mark Campbell, conducted by Carolyn Kuan '99. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and the beginning of the modern LGBTQ+ civil rights movement, this moving and explosive new American opera captures the rage, grit, humor, and hope of the LGBTQ+ community's uprising in a Greenwich Village dance club on one hot night in June 1969. More Information
 
Smithies and their guests are encouraged to attend the June 27th performance, which will be followed by a private talkback with conductor and 2019 Smith Medalist, Carolyn Kuan '99.
