Don't Miss Out: Membership Party, Catering Skills, and More!

September 13, 2019
Happy Friday the 13th! Why not kick off your weekend at a happy hour to welcome new Smithies to the city? There's still space at our annual membership party on Tuesday, and don't miss the special catering event with Smithie Diane Gordon next Saturday, September 21st. Plus a longstanding tradition continues.

PECANS ARE COMING! Once again, the Club is selling Smith College pecans before the holiday season. Prices remain the same as last year. Please support this fundraising effort for the Scholarship Fund. Learn more about this tradition.

Easy, Elevated Entertaining with Diane Gordon

If you've ever seen caterers pass flawless hors d'oeuvres and marveled at how they did it or wondered whether you could throw the perfect party—professionally or in your own home—come discover the inner workings of a professional kitchen. Diane Gordon '82, owner of Diane Gordon Catering, will walk participants through the preparation of a simple yet impressive meal using tools everyone has at home. She will also share her journey from the practice of law to successful entrepreneurship. Attendees may enjoy the meal with a glass of wine, and everyone will receive a folder of the recipes to keep.
The 2-hour class and tasting will take place in an industrial kitchen in East Harlem. Participants will need to stand around a prep table for the duration. Please email if you require seating. Space is limited.
