Are you aware of the role historically Black Greek-letter organizations and their members have played in the Black community and beyond? Ja’Milla Lomas, Smith College Class of 2000, has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, for more than 20 years. Join us as she explores the ongoing impact the Divine Nine, as they came to be known, have on the educational, economic, social and political advancements of the African American Community.

From their founding at American colleges and universities, Greek-letter organizations have contributed to the seminal moments of civil rights advancement, been a resource of support for students in their educational development and served as pillars of community action and involvement as they championed matters that impact the daily lives of African Americans.
