Reminder: Global Illumination Night 2021!

Shine your lights as part of Global Illumination Night 2021! for … our beloved community, … continued progress towards returning to our normal lives and … the great class of 2021 as our newest Smith sibs.
On campus, a socially-distanced Illumination Night will be held on Saturday, May 29 butGlobal Illumination Night is open to alums everywhere. Here’s what you can do to bring the celebration to life:
- Any night byMay 28,take a picture of something in your home to illuminate—e.g., a lantern, a lamp, a candle—on your porch, front step or in your window.
- Upload your picture, saved at a good resolution, to this form by May 28. Your image will be added to a special interactive map serving as a symbolic signal to the class of 2021 that no matter where life takes them a Smithie is always close by.
- At dusk on May 29 post your picture on social media using the hashtag #smithilluminates so we can watch this global event grow.
- A video of some of the images will also premiere on Smith’s Facebook page on Illumination Night.
