🎭 Thursday, October 1 | 7:30–9:00 PM | The Gym at Judson: Special Smithie night for The Body of Mary: A Play in Three Acts (of God), produced by Jennifer Baumgardner, Lucille Geier Lakes writer-in-residence at Smith College (2024–2027). 🖼️ If you’re headed to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, check out “Six Gothic Churches” — six engravings by Amy Namowitz Worthen ’67, on display in “Independence and Identity: Selections from the Department of Drawings and Prints” in Gallery 690 through October 6, 2026. Details here.

On Loan: Smith College Museum of Art works in NYC museums and galleries

The SCMA would love to hear if you visit any of these works in person. Take a photo with the art, tag it #smithartmuseum, and post it to the SCMA’s Instagram page, @smithartmuseum.

🎨 China Institute Gallery at 60, 1966–2026: Selections of Three Millennia of Chinese Art | September 10, 2026–January 3, 2027. The exhibition includes three pieces of ancient Chinese jade from the SCMA.

Work and Volunteering Opportunities

🏫 The Association to Benefit Children, a nonprofit in East Harlem, is looking for afterschool teachers Monday through Friday, 2:30–6:00 PM. Interested applicants can email the Central Team at cweng@a-b-c.org with a résumé and indicate interest in the Group Leader position.
