We’re Going on a Field Trip!

A day at Smith College and the Smith College Museum of Art

The Smith College Club of New York has organized a day-long trip to the mother ship! Join fellow alumnae for a visit to Smith College and the Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA).

At SCMA, we’ll experience Composing Color: Paintings by Alma Thomas from the Smithsonian American Art Museum, on view from July 24, 2026, through January 10, 2027. The exhibition brings together works from the world’s largest public collection of Thomas’s paintings and is enhanced at SCMA by two additional works by the artist.

In collaboration with SCMA, Smith Dining Services, and the Alumnae Association, we have planned a wonderful day that includes lunch in Alumnae House, remarks by SCMA staff, time to explore the exhibition and museum, and opportunities to revisit favorite spots on campus.

The Full-day ticket includes:

• Round-trip bus transportation from Grand Central Station
• Lunch in Alumnae House, with remarks by SCMA staff
• Time to explore the exhibition, museum, and campus
• A boxed meal for the ride home

A Lunch & Museum–only ticket is also available for those who prefer to arrange their own transportation.
